Isak was born in central Ohio, where he grew up enrolled in multiple sports throughout his childhood and teenage years. He fell in love with the professions of athletic training and physical therapy in high school after working with both when rehabilitating from a shoulder injury. Isak was able to experience first-hand the positive impact these individuals had on returning him to sport for his senior season. He then attended The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training. After graduation, he worked as an athletic trainer in the high school setting for three years and had the opportunity to work for the Ohio Machine, a professional lacrosse team during the 2018 season. Isak then pursued his Doctorate of Physical Therapy at South College in Knoxville, TN. While enrolled as a graduate student, Isak completed his CrossFit Level 1 certification and coached at a local CrossFit gym as a way to connect with active individuals in the community. Outside of his professional interests, Isak enjoys staying active (preferably outdoors!), including sand volleyball, skiing, hiking, and experiencing new restaurants and venues with his friends and family.

Cassie White

PTA

Cassie was raised in the mountains of WNC, where she cultivated a love of nature and an active lifestyle. Her first exposure to the world of physical therapy occurred in high school, following knee surgery. It was unclear if she would be able to return to sport after the surgery, but she had an excellent PT who helped her recover and return to volleyball and running within a year. After completing her degree at UNC, she moved back to Asheville and worked for a women’s cancer center for 5 years. In that time at the cancer center, her interest in healing and rehabilitation grew as she learned more about the physical therapy side of the healing process for oncology patients. With sports and an active lifestyle being so important to Cassie, helping people recover from an injury seemed like the perfect career. She then went to SWCC to complete the PTA program in May 2019.

If it’s not pouring the rain, you can usually find Cassie in the woods on her mountain bike. She is an avid mountain biker who just completed a coast to coast mountain bike trip across Scotland (in the rain). Her other hobbies include running, swimming, snowboarding, horseback riding, reading, sewing, board games, and traveling.

Eric grew up on the west coast of Florida before attending Florida State University and graduating with a bachelor's degree in Finance. Eric spent almost four years as a project manager for a Fortune 500 company before moving to the west coast to compete on the Association of Volleyball Professionals (AVP) tour. During this time, Eric also worked as rehab director within a fitness organization and built a business as a personal trainer specializing in physical rehabilitation. This experience, combined with his own battles with injury, cultivated a passion for helping others overcome obstacles and return to the things they love most. This passion ultimately propelled Eric to pursue a career in physical therapy. He traded the beach for the mountains and graduated with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2017 from Regis University in Denver, CO. During his time as a student, he held positions on the student board, was a member of a service dog puppy raising team with Canine for Companions, and worked as an avid volunteer throughout the Denver community. Following his doctoral training, Eric continued his education by completing an Orthopedic Residency through Evidence in Motion and became a board-certified Orthopedic Certified Specialist (OCS) in 2019. Eric is level-2 certified in trigger point dry needling through Evidence in Motion and has received advanced training in concussion/vestibular management and manual therapy over his years as therapist. He works with a wide range of patients including those with neck, back, or shoulder pain, those suffering from concussion or vestibular disorders, and athletes looking to recover from injury and/or improve their overall performance. When he’s not in the clinic, Eric enjoys staying active and spending time with his wife and dog, usually while exploring the many great outdoor opportunities Western North Carolina has to offer. His main interests include hiking, camping, backpacking, sand volleyball, golfing, weightlifting, snowboarding, and stand-up paddleboarding.

  • I'm so glad I found Movement for Life. Everyone is so knowledgeable and helpful and kind. In particular, Mark Clarke was amazing. He listened carefully, understood the best path for my knee pain relief, and guided me gently but with enough motivation that I feel hopeful for the first time in years. He's truly an inspirational healer.

  • Mark Clarke should have been in my life years ago. He had let me laugh and cry and gave me a hope I have not have for more than a year. He understands my pain and adjust my therapy/exercises according to my need. My pain has been able to be bearable thanks to Mark. Between him and anew PAC pain management, it looks I my have an almost normal life in the future.

  • I came in for treatment of a nagging shoulder injury that had been bothering me for about 3 weeks. Isak Holt was able to diagnosis the issue, recommend treatment, and dry needle my shoulder for immediate pain relief and recovery activation. I had a volleyball tournament 2 days later and my shoulder felt great! I won the tournament!! Isak was knowledgeable, gregarious, and super helpful. 5/5 stars would get stabbed by Isak's needles again.
